Boerne, TX — 8/26/25 — The Boerne Youth Athletic Association (BYAA) is proud to announce ongoing efforts to preserve and enhance Bower Field, a long-standing part of the Boerne baseball community.
Located on six acres at 424 Johns Road, Bower Field features a 60/90 baseball diamond—commonly referred to as “high school sized.” While the facilities are modest, the field continues to provide an essential playing space for local athletes and has been a gathering place for Boerne families for decades.
Renovation Efforts and Future Plans
In the winter of 2023, BYAA completed critical remediation projects to address long-standing issues and ensure the field was once again safe and playable. Since then, Bower has supported:
- BYAA’s expanded Juniors Division
- Youth camps and clinics
- Partner programs with private baseball clubs
Looking ahead, BYAA is committed to further improvements at Bower Field. The organization welcomes opportunities to collaborate with community partners, sponsors, and donors to bring the facility closer to the high standard that Boerne athletes and families deserve.
Honoring the Legacy
Bower Field has been a fixture of Boerne’s baseball history for decades. As BYAA continues its stewardship, the organization is inviting the community to share in preserving its legacy by contributing:

- Personal stories and memories
- Connections to past players and families

Field Use and Reservations
At this time, BYAA is not accepting new private reservation requests. The Fall 2025 partner program has been selected, and the field’s schedule is dedicated exclusively to BYAA programming and affiliated activities.
